Trinity Lutheran Church was founded in
1907. Our original location was at 14th and Bluff. In the mid 1950's
Trinity moved to its present location at 3505 Kemp Blvd. The Fellowship
Hall unit was added in 1984 and the paved parking in 1995. The Sanctuary and
Narthex were refurbished in 2001. Trinity Lutheran is a member
congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Ch8urch of America, which has its
national offices in Chicago, Ill; with Mark Hansen as residing Bishop. The
ELCA includes over 10,585 congregations; and over 4,930,429 baptized
members. The regional area is called Northern Texas0Noirth Louisiana
Synod. Our Bishop is Rev. Bishop Kevin S. Kanouse. The NT-NL has
about 120 congregations. Trinity's conference name is "Rolling
Plains" and includes churches from Vernon to Roscoe, Winters, Abilene to
Wichita Falls. Trinity Lutheran is also a Stephen Ministry church.
Stephen Ministry
is a Trans denominational Christian education organization that provides high
quality training and resources to strengthen and expand lay ministry in
congregations.
Stephen Mission:
The mission of Stephen Ministries is to help congregations equip God's people
for spiritual growth and Christ-centered, practical ministry in today's world.
